Edith Holsinger Teacher Scholarship

The Edith Holsinger Teacher Scholarship is sponsored by Altrusa International of Anaheim, Inc. which is dedicated to make the community a better place through its service projects. This scholarship is designated for students committed to a career in teaching, ether elementary or high school, who exemplifies the personal character and professional development necessary to succeed in the profession.

Applicants must be committed to a career as an elementary or high school teacher. They must have completed at least 24 units at Fullerton College, and currently enrolled in at least 6 units, and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0. They must provide a short essay (no more than one page, 12pt, double spaced) describing why they are committed and motivated to having a careers as a a teacher. Provide a letter of recommendation from a professor who knows them well. The applicant must also be willing to be interviewed by the a panel of Altrusa members.
